Yosemite and San Francisco (Again)

We made it!

Unfortunately, NOT our Panasonic Lumix camera that Hushby accidentally dropped in the clear water of Merced River which we quickly replaced with a Canon 1400 at a Best Buy in downtown San Francisco. Ah! The drama of our lives.

4 days / 3 nights, and we're back in one piece. So nice to be home now after 2 nights in the hustle and bustle of the windy city. Good thing we return to a calm, quiet neighborhood.

Here's us - we started off with a 6 hours drive up north to Yosemite National Park from OC.

No doubt, the Half Dome and El Capitan of Yosemite National Park takes my breath away each time I laid eyes on it. The views from every angle is just spectacular.

Spent a night at Oakhurst, about 10 miles outside of Yosemite, we then drove 4 hours from Yosemite to the coldest winter in the summer months of San Francisco Bay Area. It was windy, gloomy and cold during dawn and dusk. Good thing that it was sunny during the day, made strenuous hiking on the steep streets of San Frans a little more bearable than usual.

Hushby and I took turns but still, the last stretch of driving was the hardest - 7 hours on the road back to Orange County PLUS an hour traffic jam by Los Angeles - tensed our already overworked feet to the stricken spine from spending nights on squeaky hotel beds.

Maybe yoga will help with the aging body but all in all, I had a wonderful trip exploring, eating and revisiting old favorites. The trip kept it all interesting for my otherwise, mundane summer break.

Actually the whole outfit is accidental coz' the weather suddenly turned cold and awfully windy. So I had to put the striped sweater on that covered the ruffled-top dress. Thanks for the compliment however! LOL :)

YA which explains why he will never be vegetarian. Those canine teeth are made for steak!
